Aldar and Arada Form AED 15 Billion Strategic Partnership for Major Abu Dhabi Developments

Aldar and Arada have entered into a major strategic partnership covering development opportunities with a combined value of approximately AED 15 billion. Announced on 30 September 2026, the collaboration brings together two of the UAE’s leading developers and establishes the foundation for a broader long-term partnership across the country.

The initial agreement includes two major components: a joint venture to develop a new large-scale community at Seih Sdeirah, on the Abu Dhabi–Dubai border, and Arada’s acquisition of three residential development plots on Yas Island from Aldar. The agreement also represents Arada’s first entry into Abu Dhabi’s property development market.

At Seih Sdeirah, Aldar and Arada will jointly develop a mixed-use community spanning up to 1.5 million square metres of land. The masterplan is expected to feature villas and townhouses, complemented by retail, recreational and community amenities. Arada will lead development and construction management, while the two developers will jointly oversee the branding and sales of the community.

The partnership will also introduce new residential developments to Yas Island, where Arada has acquired three strategically located plots from Aldar. Two of the sites are canal-facing, with the three plots covering a combined area of more than 27,500 square metres and providing almost 130,000 square metres of total gross floor area. Arada plans to develop premium residential communities across the sites.

The collaboration combines Aldar’s established development platform and strategic land portfolio in Abu Dhabi with Arada’s experience in delivering large-scale master-planned communities. According to both companies, the Yas Island and Seih Sdeirah developments represent only the first phase of the partnership, with further opportunities expected to be explored across different sectors, asset classes and locations throughout the UAE.
