Aldar Unveils Sei Saadiyat in Saadiyat Cultural District

Aldar has announced the launch of Sei Saadiyat, a new residential development in Saadiyat Cultural District, Abu Dhabi, designed around wellness, calm living, contemporary design and connection to the surrounding cultural destination.

The project will comprise 778 homes across six residential buildings, together with shared lifestyle amenities, retail offerings and a specialist health and recovery clinic.

The name “Sei”, which means stillness and calm in Japanese, reflects the overall concept behind the development. The community has been designed to create a more restorative residential environment, with wellness, relaxation, fitness and social connection forming a central part of the resident experience.

A New Residential Collection on Saadiyat Island

Sei Saadiyat will offer a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, alongside two-bedroom loft residences. The first phase will introduce 265 homes across two residential buildings, with sales scheduled to begin on 16 September 2026.

One of the key features of the development is the introduction of a new loft-style residential format to Aldar’s portfolio. These residences will feature double-height, open-plan living spaces, elevated bedrooms overlooking the main living areas, expansive windows and flexible working spaces.

The interiors have been designed around a warm and minimalist aesthetic, incorporating materials such as stone, wood and textured plaster. Natural textures and subtle variations in tone are intended to create a calm, contemporary atmosphere throughout the residences.

Located in Saadiyat Cultural District

The development is positioned within Saadiyat Cultural District, placing residents close to some of Abu Dhabi’s most significant cultural and lifestyle destinations.

Select residences on the higher floors are expected to offer panoramic views across the district’s museums and architectural landmarks, including Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, as well as views towards the Arabian Gulf and Abu Dhabi skyline.

Residents will also be within easy reach of Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi, alongside Saadiyat Island destinations including Saadiyat Grove, Mamsha Beach and Marsa Al Saadiyat.

Aldar describes Saadiyat Cultural District more broadly as a destination where cultural institutions, residential communities and natural surroundings come together, positioning the area as one of Abu Dhabi's key cultural and lifestyle destinations.

Wellness-Focused Amenities

Wellness forms a major part of the concept behind Sei Saadiyat. Planned amenities include garden-based hot and cold pools, a Zen garden with a serenity pool, outdoor yoga decks, three indoor gyms, outdoor fitness areas and sports courts.

The community will also feature a specialist clinic focused on health, physiotherapy and recovery, alongside additional resident facilities such as a library and gaming lounge, cinema rooms, co-working spaces, an indoor children's club and outdoor play areas.

Landscaped courtyards will connect the residential buildings through walking paths, planted spaces, art installations and quieter areas designed for relaxation. Retail and food and beverage outlets are also planned within the development, providing residents with convenient access to everyday services and dining.

Sustainability and Smart Living

Sei Saadiyat is targeting an Estidama Pearl 3 rating, in line with Aldar's wider sustainable development strategy. The project will also incorporate smart community features and provisions for electric vehicles to improve efficiency and connectivity for residents.
